“We’re trying to keep that momentum going,” Christian Horner plans to bring in updates to build on the Imola victory

Christian Horner and Red Bull seemed to have found the right solution after their early struggles in the season. Imola GP was supposed to be Ferrari’s weekend but nothing went right for the Italian Giants. It’s not like Charles Leclerc or Carlos Sainz lacked the pace but Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez had that cutting edge over the two Ferraris. Red Bull was completely rampant in Italy.

The question which arose was what was the difference between the last 3 races and the Imola GP. Of course Red Bull got it spot on with the upgrades but also Ferrari seemed to have missed a trick or two. Carlos Sainz was unfortunate to spin out of the Imola GP and Charles Leclerc in order to push to finish P2 forced himself out of the track and lost out on his fourth consecutive podium of the season.

Max Verstappen would want to build on the victory that they have had in Imola. Red Bull was able to make a lot of ground on Ferrari after a thumping result. Both Charles Leclerc and Mattia Binotto have a lot of thinking to do and would be expected to bring in updates to counter the charge by Red Bull. Christian Horner would be a happy man but he would be wary of the threat possessed by Charles Leclerc and Ferrari.

We’ve had a good result in Imola, so we’re trying to keep that momentum going.”

“Red Bull also brought updates to Imola and that did not seem to do the team any harm. Max Verstappen dominated the weekend in Italy, catching up to Charles Leclerc in the championship,” as reported by gpblog.

This could be a really interesting race and it could also give an indication to come for the next few weeks as Ferrari looks to counter the resurgent Red Bull.
