Max Verstappen is on a dominant run in 2023. The three-time world champion is having a historic season with the Red Bull RB-19. The Dutch driver brought home an easy win at the Mexican GP despite starting from the second row. Verstappen has shattered several records in what was his 16th win of the season.
The three-time world champion beat his own record for the most wins in a single season. The record now stands for 16 victories. However, Max Verstappen would be looking to further increase his tally in the last few rounds of the season. Moreover, the Dutch driver has now won 31 wins since the start of 2022, this equals the total number of races won by F1 legend Nigel Mansell.
Moreover, Max Verstappen’s total win count now stands at 51. The 26-year-old is now tied with four-time world champion Alain Prost for the number of F1 victories. The Dutch driver is likely to match Sebastian Vettel‘s tally of 54 wins soon.
Verstappen has been a regular on the podium this season. The 26-year-old has stood on the podium for all races this season except for the Singapore GP. As such, the Dutch driver’s victory in Mexico City equaled his own single-season podium record with 18 podiums so far.
