Formula One attracts enthusiasts from many sports. One of the most prominent is Football. Various personalities from the sport have often been seen mingling with F1 drivers. Recently, a video from 2022 featuring Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc resurfaced on the internet. In the video, he is seen kicking around a football with David Beckham.
The video was shot just before the Miami GP in 2022. Leclerc’s pre-race warmup came in a way many would not have expected. In the video, both of the stars were seen playing a small game of foot volleyball, using a couch as the net. While Beckham shows off his prowess with his feet, Leclerc also doesn’t hold back and lands some solid touches of his own. After Leclerc’s shoulder touch went wrong, the two shared a conversation with each other.
The video has resurfaced shortly after David Beckham’s Docuseries ‘Beckham’ released on Netflix. The series is about his own life and follows his early years to his rise to stardom in football. Beckham has been seen quite often in the F1 paddocks. Most recently, he was spotted in Qatar, touring McLaren’s garage. He also recently met Lewis Hamilton while promoting his series.

Charles Leclerc credits Fred Vasseur for the change in Ferrari’s mentality
Ferrari has shown some improvement in the last few races. Although Carlos Sainz could not even start the Qatar GP due to issues with his car, Ferrari are slowly but surely rebuilding themselves. They are currently chasing Mercedes for P2 in the constructors’ standings, trailing by just 28 points. Charles Leclerc recently credited their shift in paradigm to their new chief, Fred Vasseur.
Leclerc said that Vasseur is a very balanced person. According to him, Vasseur does not get flown with his emotions which brings a lot of stability to the team as well. Leclerc said that Vasseur has a very clear vision for the team which aligns with them, and is the right person to execute it.
“Fred is super flat emotionally, which I think is really good in the position he is in because it gives us that a little bit. But what I love most about Ferrari is the emotions that we feel. Whenever we are at highs and how passionate the people are, but to have this balance with Fred I think is also really good,” said Leclerc.
