Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes together have created history in F1; the Brit winning 6 championships and the team clenching 8 constructor’s titles, they have proved their dominance in the turbo-hybrid era, and continue to do so.
Hamilton has been the iconic face of the team ever since he replaced Michael Schumacher after his complete retirement, and in all of these years, there never has been any doubt about him shifting teams or retiring from the sport. Even at the age of 36 last year, he gave one of the toughest title fights till the end.
As this year’s season unfolds, there are still 18 months left in Hamilton’s contract with the team, and although this might be a little early, Toto Wolff revealed a little bit about the contract. Hamilton has won 82 races with Mercedes until now, and that is the highest that a driver has ever won with a single team. But this year hasn’t been so fruitful after the team suffered hard, and this might as well be time for the Brit to move into another team for the rest of his career; but Wolff hinted something completely different from this.

Toto Wolff believes that Lewis Hamilton could win even more with Mercedes
The team principal stated; “Someone said you have to win the eight [world title], so why not 10?” The Sun quoted. He also said that there was a discussion about how long a contract can be, which was 5 – 10 years, so he believes that Hamilton and the team could go together to win 400 races.
Although this year might be looking tough for the team, they have improved a lot since the start. There were moments when the Brit was disqualified in Q1, and now he has managed to score multiple podiums; though P3, but still, it shows how much the team has improved. They currently sit 3rd in the championship standings with 237 points, and Hamilton has scored 109 points alone.
