“Yes, I’m ready!” Mick Schumacher is prepared to join Ferrari soon

Mick Schumacher

Mick Schumacher has been associated with Ferrari since 2019 after becoming part of the Driving Academy. He managed to win the 2020 F2 season with Prema, and then quickly made his debut in F1 after being in F2 for just two seasons. He entered the sport with Haas F1 team, alongside another rookie, Nikita Mazepin, the team felt that the results would be promising, but they turned out to be the slowest car on the grid in 2021 after finishing off with 0 points. However, this year, after Kevin Magnussen’s return to replace Mazepin and a much developed car, both the drivers have performed a lot better.

Mick also managed to score his first ever points in the sport during the British Grand Prix, and has been performing considerably well since then. Earlier this year, it was announced that he was being made Ferrari’s reserve driver, which could be the gateway to his secured future in the sport. His performance certainly looks promising, and perhaps, within a couple of seasons, he could follow up his father, Michael Schumacher’s legacy after joining Ferrari. When he was asked about the same, he seemed to be pretty much excited.

Schumacher stated that he is completely ready to be with the Scuderia, and could showcase his talent. “Although our cars are not the same. I have grown up with Ferrari since 2019 and know the procedures. I’m happy to show what I’m capable of,” GPblog quoted the German.

Everything sounds in the way of Schumacher, but it is necessary to note that there is no seat empty at the Scuderia in the coming seasons, and even his own seat at Haas is not confirmed for the 2023 season, as there has not been any discussion regarding the extension of his contract, yet.
