“You are weird,” Carlos Sainz teases Lando Norris for wearing a hoodie in the scorching heat of Miami

Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris share the sort of camaraderie that you don’t often see in Formula 1 especially when you have been team mates. But the duo have continued to keep up the bond that they had from their time at McLaren. Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris both have had a difficult start to the season keeping in mind the sort of expectations that their respective teams have from them.

Carlos Sainz reached Miami to recover from the crash they he suffered in Imola. What that crash meant was Red Bull was able to secure a 1-2 finish and in turn able to cut down Ferrari’s lead to just 11 points. Another consequence of that crash was Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc were able to further pull away in the driver’s championship and put a big dent in the Spaniard’s quest to become a world champion with Scuderia Ferrari.

While on the other hand, Lando Norris was coming at the back of a surprise podium and wanted to continue the sort of form he showed at the Imola GP. The team in the fight for the 4th place with the likes of Alpine and Alfa Romeo. But Miami was a big blow to McLaren as both the drivers were out of the points finish. Lando Norris is championship winning material and McLaren would have to help me out to achieve that.

Carlos Sainz takes a dig at Lando Norris for wearing a hoodie in Miami’s heat

Despite all of the pressure, Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz were able to take some time off and had a humorous conversation regarding how hot the weather was. Carlos Sainz to Lando Norris, “You are wearing a hoodie.”

Lando Norris: It’s very thin. It’s like that but it has got a hoodie.

Carlos Sainz: But it’s long sleeve.

Lando Norris: But I have rolled them up.

Carlos Sainz: Are you wearing something on the inside?

Lando Norris: No, No.

Carlos Sainz: You are weird.

Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz have proved that two team mates can be friends despite having healthy competition between them. Let’s hope that continues for the longest time and we can see more banter between the two.
