Former German racer Nico Rosberg has envisioned a tough battle between championship competitors Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Verstappen and Norris are separated by 52 points, with the former leading the drivers’ championship.
Lando Norris has been a constant threat to Max Verstappen ever since the Miami Grand Prix. The Dutchman was dominant in his efforts early on, securing seven wins out of the first 10 races. He has since failed to notch the same results, allowing Norris to close the gap by winning races and securing podiums.
Nico Rosberg has claimed that Red Bull’s underperforming spell piles a lot of pressure on Verstappen. The 26-year-old has failed to win in any of the last eight races and finished 20 seconds behind Norris in Singapore.
With the way his car is going, that adds a lot of pressure to Max. I really think this could go down to the wire, which is just incredibly exciting.

The Milton-Keynes-based team is currently making its best efforts to catch up to the Papayas. The month-long break before the US Grand Prix will be crucial for Red Bull as they look to return to winning ways.
Max Verstappen reacts to Red Bull’s performance at the Singapore GP
Red Bull secured a total of 19 points at the Marina Bay circuit, struggling to make up for their lost pace around the street circuit. Max Verstappen has since shed light on the team’s learning and its plans to improve the RB20 going forward.

It was a different direction that maybe gives us some ideas for the future. It was a big turnaround, but the, biggest? I don’t know. It’s always difficult to say. Probably street circuits, we’ll struggle. More normal tracks, a little bit less. Pretty pleased, but still a lot of work to do. We know that. Hopefully, now we can really kick start things.

Verstappen says that his team’s performance in Singapore has given them some ideas for the upcoming races. The three-time world champion then clarified that the Milton-Keynes-based team struggles more around street circuits over traditional tracks.
Red Bull has faced issues with kerbs and bumps since last season. These issues have been a major reason for their lack of performance around street circuits. The team has yet to find a concrete solution but is confident of improving their shortfalls in the coming weeks.
