Lewis Hamilton is no longer a Mercedes driver. The seven-time world champion will soon be dressed in red, racing for Scuderia Ferrari. However, Hamilton’s former teammate and rival Nico Rosberg has expressed concerns over the Briton’s move.

The 39-year-old had a dismal final season with the Silver Arrows this year. Lewis Hamilton was left frustrated over his struggles in Qualifying. Moreover, the seven-time world champion confessed that he almost quit the team after the Brazilian GP.

Nico Rosberg emphasized that Hamilton will be 100% worried as he joins Ferrari. The German reckoned that Lewis Hamilton would be doubting himself over his form. The 39-year-old would be concerned if the slump in 2024 was just because of the Mercedes car, or whether he has lost his speed over the years.

Now, he has two years at Ferrari, and he will 100% be very, very worried. ‘What if this form of mine continues, like, was it just the car at Mercedes, or was it something else? And what if this form of mine continues to Ferrari?’

Nico Rosberg warns Lewis Hamilton of ‘painful adventure’ at Ferrari

The 2016 F1 champion asserted that if Hamilton’s poor form continued at the Scuderia in 2025, things could go from bad to worse. Rosberg labeled such a situation to be a ‘painful adventure’ for the seven-time world champion. As Ferrari had not signed him just to see the end of his career.

If it does, it would really be quite a painful adventure, I would say, because that’s not what Ferrari hired him for.

Nico Rosberg added

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton would be aware of the possible challenges he faces at Maranello. The British driver will first need to regain confidence in himself to ensure that he gets back in form. The Tifosi would be hoping that Hamilton starts the 2025 season on the right note at Ferrari.
