The 23-year-old Australian also claimed that Norris has been faster than him on many occasions but has been a great motivating factor to the team and its aspirations throughout the campaign.
So I think we’ve always been incredibly tight. Yeah, he’s obviously a very strong teammate to be up against and he’s shown that through his whole career. And I think now it’s certainly obvious for everybody in a race-winning car now. So yeah, of course, as a driver, you always want to beat everybody, not just your teammate, but it’s always the first reference.Oscar Piastri via Motorsportweek

Lando Norris refuses to reveal specifics of deal with Zak Brown
McLaren team principal, Zak Brown has reportedly promised Norris a car if the 24-year-old manages to win the championship this season. Norris is currently second in the standings and could win the title if he manages to bridge an 81-point gap with Max Verstappen.

I've got a deal with Zak. If I win the championship he has to get me a car. I've specified which car. We shook on it, but that’s all I'm saying. There's a long way to go, it's still a lot of points. But who knows?Lando Norris told The Telegraph
Lando Norris has claimed that a deal has been made with Zak Brown in terms of a specific car, which will be disclosed if he wins the championship. The 24-year-old has thereafter refused to rule out the idea of scoring more points than Max Verstappen, saying that there is a long way to go until the end of the season.
