The former F1 driver, Ralf Schumacher has deemed the prospect of Carlos Sainz‘s rumored possibility of a move to Williams as a dead end for the Spaniard. Sainz’s contract expires at the end of the season with Ferrari and he is set to be replaced by Lewis Hamilton.
Carlos Sainz has been with Ferrari since the start of the 2021 season and has won three races with them. The 29-year-old has proved his worth to the grid as a talented driver, which has sparked interest from multiple teams in signing him from next year onward.

Sainz is rumored to have received an offer from Williams Racing as well as interest from Audi for the coming season. However, Ralf Schumacher has advised the Spanish driver against joining the British Marque.
I'll tell you up front: Williams is still a dead end at the moment . I'm honest, although I really like James Vowles. Since I know the Williams company, I cannot be sure that Sainz would feel comfortable in such an environment. I think Audi is the best choice in the long term , also because of his father's ties to the company.Ralf Schumacher said in an interview with Formel1.de
Sainz has reportedly been in talks with Audi ever since the news of the German team joining the grid in 2026 surfaced around the paddock. The Spaniard will now weigh his options in finding a team for the coming season as F1 heads into the much-awaited Canadian GP race weekend.
Lewis Hamilton unfazed by lack of known personnel at Ferrari
Lewis Hamilton has admitted that his move to Ferrari in the coming season is one which he looks to take on wholeheartedly, despite not knowing many people within the team. The seven-time world champion is set to leave Mercedes after 11 glorious years with the team.

I mean, when I moved to Mercedes [in 2013], I didn't know anybody. That was totally fine and I don't think that makes a big difference personally to me.Lewis Hamilton said in an interview with RacingNews365
Lewis Hamilton has won a record 82 Grand Prix and six world championships with Mercedes. When he joins the Maranello-based outfit he will be looking to add further to his impressive tally of wins in an attempt to clinch a record eighth world championship.
As of now, Hamilton is seen struggling with Mercedes, with the Brackley-based team having only the fourth-fastest car on the grid. The Silver Arrows head into the Canadian GP optimistic of their chances in light of the new upgrades to their car. They will ideally be eyeing a podium finish at the upcoming event.
