We are all set to watch the much-awaited Spanish Grand Prix, which will mark the sixth round of this year’s 2022 Formula 1 Grand Prix. The Championship frontrunner of this year–Charles Leclerc from Ferrari has got the pole position after a thunderous performance in the Qualifying Session on Saturday, and he will be followed by Max Verstappen, his closest rival in the WDC standings.

As the stage is all set to host the Spanish GP at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona, and all the Spaniards have flocked into the stadium for watching the intense battle that is expected to go down between Verstappen and Leclerc. Of course, the nation will be praying for Carlos Sainz, who has a good chance of clinching his first race win in a Ferrari in his home Grand Prix.

But as the cars rolled out for the Grand Prix, Red Bull revealed a last minute change in Max Verstappen’s RB-18.

Max Verstappen’s RB-18 has got an upgrade in the Spanish Grand Prix which the fans were not expecting at all. It has been revealed that the Milton-Keynnes-based team has made a slight addition to Verstappen’s car to ensure maximum performance from the reigning World Champion.

Red Bull has altered the DRS flap pivot pins and DRS actuator on Max Verstappen’s RB18, even though his car is actually under parc ferme. But as it appears, the #1 will not be penalized for this as technically “they are the same specification parts.”
