Ferrari made headlines at the start of 2024 when it announced Lewis Hamilton‘s multi-year deal for 2025 and beyond. Since then, fans have eagerly waited for the Briton’s arrival to Maranello. Now, F1 journalist Roberto Chinchero has made a bold claim over the Tifosi’s preparations.

Chinchero made it clear that the biggest question in the minds of millions of Ferrari fans was the date of Hamilton’s debut in red. It is expected that the seven-time world champion will first test old machinery in a flexible program before 2025 pre-season testing.

A big question mark that Italian Ferrari fans are trying to answer – when will the first test of Lewis Hamilton in a Ferrari car take place?

Roberto Chinchero asserted that a sort of ‘Hamilton mania’ had already taken over Italy. He predicted that the streets of Maranello will be filled with fans when Lewis Hamilton finally arrives to the Prancing Horse. With a large crowed near the Fiorano track to get a glimpse of the 40-year-old.

A kind of Hamilton mania has already started in Italy… I cannot imagine the number of people that will be around the track. I’m expecting the Maranello and Fiorano streets will be filled with people.

Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari debut a ‘hard work’ for police

The immense crowds could pose a security threat in Maranello. Chinchero was convinced that Lewis Hamilton’s debut will become a grand spectacle, something unseen in years. Thus, he mentioned that the Italian police could find it difficult to manage the crowds to negate any safety risks.

I’m expecting something that we haven’t seen in years. It will be hard work for the police.

Robert Chinchero stated

Certainly, Hamilton’s arrival is the biggest driver move in recent F1 history. It is expected that this excitement will not just stay at Maranello, rather, the Tifosi will attend every race with a renewed energy to cheer for the seven-time world champion. Though it remains to be seen if Lewis Hamilton can live up to the massive hype this year.
