The 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix weekend was one to forget for Red Bull driver Sergio Perez. From start to finish, he faced issues during the three-day event, and the main race also proved to be a huge disaster for him.
Sergio Perez started the 71-lap race around Interlagos in P11 and despite his best efforts, was not able to move upwards by the end of the race. Following the disappointing result, he took time to shed light on his terrible outing.
Perez has managed to amass only 151 points in the driver’s championship. He is currently in eighth place in the standings and is the main reason why Red Bull has fallen to third place in the 2024 constructors’ championship. Max Verstappen has singlehandedly carried the burden of the team on both fronts.
Sergio Perez’ take on fight against Liam Lawson at Interlagos
While Sergio Perez has revealed the reason behind his woeful Interlagos outing, he has also taken the time to shed light on his on-track fights. During the 71-lap race, Perez had quite a few tussles but the most notable of them was against Liam Lawson and Lewis Hamilton.
Perez has a contract at Red Bull but that has not stopped the sacking rumors from swirling around. The lights of Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda are in with a shot at Perez’s 2025 seat and considering this, it is high time that the Mexican pulls off some sensational results. The remaining three races of the campaign could decide the fate of the Mexican on the Milton-Keynes-based team.
