Sergio Perez has struggled to bring out the performance needed to help Red Bull dominate the standings. The Mexican has consistently failed to do so and has been in talks about replacement. However, Milton Keynes has enough confidence to keep him for the rest of the season. McLaren is just one race away from snatching the lead in the Constructors’ championship. Tom Clarkson believes Perez needs to change his approach to outperform the oranges.

Tom Clarkson recently explained that McLaren could gain momentum after the summer break and soon surpass Red Bull. McLaren’s recent top performances likely boosted their momentum, while Red Bull has failed to score podium in the last four races. Their performance suggested that their dominance might continue to improve, and Red Bull should fear this.

I could see McLaren getting some wind in their sails and very quickly overtaking Red Bull.

Tom Clarkson believed that the only one that can stop McLaren from taking the lead from Red Bull is Sergio Perez. Max Verstappen alone could not possibly handle the pressure, therefore Perez needs to contribute his efforts. Clarkson mentioned this can only happen if Checo returns from the summer break as a completely changed man. If the significant changes are not made in Mexican’s performance the outcome would remain uncertain.

Unless Sergio Perez comes back from the summer break a changed man, but let’s wait and see.

Damon Hill suggests his prediction over 2024 championship titles.

Damon Hill recently gave his prediction on the possible outcome of the 2024 season. According to the former champion, Max Verstappen who’s leading the drivers standings by 78 points would win it against Lando Norris. While McLaren would win the constructors championship, which is led by Red Bull currently by 48 points. This prediction was based on their recent performance because, both the McLaren’s are at their peak compared to the Red Bull pair. He expected the battle for the Constructors’ Championship to remain tight. Hill thought it might extend to the Brazilian GP, though he was unsure of the final outcome.

I think it’s gonna be Max by a whisker, and the Constructors’ Champions will be McLaren. I think it’s going to go down to at least Brazil, something like that. I can’t see how we’re going to get that.
Damon Hill said, as reported by PlanetF1

Certainly, Damon Hill’s prediction was based on the last 14 races and the team’s improvements and setbacks. Red Bull seemed to be losing the title to McLaren due to Perez’s underperformance but Max Verstappen still looks strong in the driver’s standings. Fans hope he does not let McLaren outperform his team in the last 10 rounds of the season.
