Mercedes has continued to be the center of multiple baseless allegations against the constructor due to George Russell outscoring Lewis Hamilton on several occasions. Conspiracists believe Mercedes purposefully sabotaged Hamilton against Russell. However, team principal Toto Wolff has remained firmly against these claims as he responded to further conspiracies.
Lewis Hamilton has been struggling to score better results than George Russell in the 2024 season. However, the Spanish GP was a great shift of pace for Hamilton after scoring his first podium in the season. As a result, Toto Wolff shared a stern reaction against the previous claims of Brackley sabotaging the 39-year-old’s chassis.

The team principal reckoned that he held no respect for the conspiracy theorists. This was because these people had ‘no brain’ according to Wolff. Additionally, the 52-year-old noted that he wanted to have a car that won races and championships. Subsequently, the Austrian added that people who didn’t understand this fact should perhaps consider watching a different sport.
These conspiracy theorists, I have zero respect for, because they have no brain, We want a car that wins races and championships and who doesn’t get that should be watching another sport.Toto Wolff said, as reported by racingnews365.com.
Toto Wolff ‘happy’ seeing Lewis Hamilton score a podium in Barcelona
The entire Mercedes crew broke into a celebration for Hamilton’s maiden podium in the 2024 season. Additionally, George Russell scored a podium for the first time in just the previous race. As a result, the Spanish GP was proof that Mercedes’ in-season upgrades are working in their favor. Wolff was extremely delighted over the seven-time world champion scoring a podium finish.

Toto Wolff noted that it was great to witness Hamilton having a great weekend. Wolff also recalled that it had been a long time that the Briton was on the receiving end of the good results. However, after such a long break, it was great to witness the 39-year-old score the podium which he very much deserves in the pinnacle of motorsport.
It’s good to see that he has had a great weekend, because it has been a while that he has been on the receiving end and strategy has worked against. But today that went in his favour and so I am happy we have that podium for him because it has been a while.Toto Wolff noted.
The Brackley-based team has continued to perform well compared to their disappointing start to the season. Keeping this in view, the team could have the possibility to close in on the rival teams in the constructors’ championship.
