Mercedes showcased a great comeback in performance at the Belgian GP after scoring an impressive 1-2 finish. The team has scored three race wins in the 2024 season and deemed their best performance in the ground-effect era. Hence, the Mercedes boss Toto Wolff was extremely delighted over the result and even video-called his wife Susie Wolff after Russell’s victory.

The team will head into the almost month-long summer break before continuing racing at the Dutch GP. After the race at Spa-Francorchamps, Toto Wolff was spotted video-calling his wife Susie Wolff.

Additionally, his family was very excited to take a vacation over the summer break.

Toto Wolff had pointed out that the team did not expect a 1-2 finish at the Belgian GP after the struggles over the race weekend. Regardless, George Russell scored a highly impressive victory and fended off well against Lewis Hamilton. Hence, the entire crew was delighted over the massively positive result.

George Russell narrowly won against Lewis Hamilton at the Belgian GP after dragging the hard compounds to 34 laps. Additionally, the two Silver Arrows showcased great battles on the track without colliding with one another. Hence, Toto Wolff was full of praise for the two drivers and their sportsmanship on the track.

Wolff noted that the two drivers were very good and mature on track and further applauded Russell for starting to gain control over his performance.

Mercedes has continued to improve in performance on track and started to overtake Red Bull in pace. Brackley needs to keep up with this development trajectory down the 2024 season and gain points in the championship. Such performances could put forth highly exciting racing action on the track for the latter half of the 2024 season.
