Lewis Hamilton‘s highly anticipated first visit to Ferrari’s factory in Maranello was backed with a massive fan presence in and around the facility. Hamilton presented himself in a highly fashionable suit and broke the internet after releasing his first picture for the team. The Briton’s former team principal Toto Wolff made a striking remark on the former’s first-ever Ferrari post.
Lewis Hamilton’s stunning image in front of the Enzo Ferrari-designed F40, with the backdrop of Ferrari’s house, was truly iconic. The city of Maranello went into a state of emergency following the Briton’s visit. In response, Toto Wolff remarked that Hamilton’s first image was even more ‘iconic’ due to his Godfather-like outfit.
There was something iconic about him standing there in his Godfather outfit in a suit.
Toto Wolff told OE24.
Wolff further joked and recalled a funny anecdote involving Hamilton and suits. The Mercedes Team Principal claimed that he tried to get the 40-year-old in a suit for over 12 years and he didn’t do it. However, the seven-time champion wore such a dapper suit on his very first day with Ferrari which became a laughing point for the two.
I said to him: ‘I’ve been trying to get you into a suit for 12 years, and then you do it on your first day at Ferrari.’ We both laughed a lot.

Toto Wolff aims to ‘beat’ Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari this season
Lewis Hamilton lodged some impressive lap times during the pre-season test and seems prepared to fight for the drivers’ title. Toto Wolff talked about his relationship with Hamilton following the ‘divorce’ and noted that it wasn’t that bad. The 53-year-old insists that the two are still good friends as they wished the best for each other. Regardless, Wolff hoped for Mercedes to beat the 40-year-old at Ferrari in the 2025 season.

It’s not that bad, We are very good friends. On a personal level, I wish him all the best, but on the racetrack we want to beat him.
Toto Wolff noted
Mercedes currently seems to be lacking in terms of pace against Ferrari. However, the pre-season timings did not truly indicate either of the team’s full potential. Hence, with the season-opener just a few days away, the excitement peaks for the fans and the drivers. The 2025 season is likely to be extremely competitive amongst the top teams.
