Max Verstappen was the driver that everyone watched in awe at the Italian GP as he proved his racing prowess to the grid. Despite running in one of the more inferior challengers on the grid, Verstappen achieved a stellar race win and shattered multiple records along the way. Now, following the Dutchman’s sublime victory, Toto Wolff has given a brutal statement on the rivals of the reigning world champion.

Max Verstappen began the race weekend on a high after he achieved an impressive pole position start for the Italian GP. Notably, the Dutchman achieved the fastest lap recorded in the history of Formula 1 with an average speed of around 264 kmph (164 mph). Verstappen left no stone unturned to emerge victorious in the main race ahead of the McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

In the beginning, Max Verstappen was involved in an incident with Lando Norris and had to give up the lead to the former. However, Verstappen snatched that away in a couple of laps and never lost the lead of the race. Following the Dutchman’s impressive win on Ferrari’s home grounds, the Italian fans celebrated the victory in an amazing manner and made the event all the more special.

Now, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has delivered a brutal warning to the rivals on track. Wolff insisted that Max Verstappen made everyone else look silly on the grid. After winning the race by a 20-second lead over the trailing driver in Lando Norris, the Austrian pointed out that the rivals needed to ask themselves about what the reigning champion did differently to put forth such an impressive result on the track.

Today, one driver made everyone else look silly, They really need to ask themselves what he’s doing differently.

Red Bull claims Max Verstappen ‘redefined perfection’ at Monza

Red Bull’s newly appointed boss, Laurent Mekies, following the shocking firing of Christian Horner, required some time to integrate within the squad. The Italian GP victory for Max Verstappen came as his first win with Mekies and even he was delighted with the achievement. The 48-year-old weighed in on Verstappen breaking the world record and winning the Monza race, and gave him an impressive title.

Larent Mekies declared that Max Verstappen redefined what perfection meant after his stellar performance at the Italian GP. Mekies recalled that the Dutchman suffered from a difficult first lap in Monza, but maintained his composure and managed to overtake Lando Norris on the track shortly after. Verstappen then went on to dominate the race and achieve the record-breaking victory on Italian soil.

Max redefined what perfection is today and this weekend in general. It was a difficult first lap and he kept very cool and managed to do the overtaking on track and then to dominate the race.

Laurent Mekies said, as reported by news.verstappen.com

Red Bull’s pace seemed competitive enough to provide a chance for Max Verstappen to become a regular race winner. However, with just eight races left in the 2025 season, Verstappen warned the fans from having false hopes. As such, time will tell if the Dutchman returns to his winning ways in this season and contends for his coveted fifth driver’s title by the end of the year.
