This weekend is a celebration. A celebration of everything that we have accomplished together. Lewis’ association with Mercedes goes back 26 years. Every lap of his career so far has been powered by the three-pointed star. Thank you, Lewis: for one final time, let’s do this.

Looking at the reaction of the Austrian, it is quite clear he and the whole Mercedes team respect Hamilton a lot. The latter has amassed six world championships with the team alongside the several wins he has secured in his over a decade-long stint with them. Hamilton has also amassed two Grand Prix wins in the up-and-down 2024 F1 season.

Lewis Hamilton’ Mercedes eyeing a ‘strong on-track’ performance in Abu Dhabi

While Toto Wolff has left no stone unturned in applauding Lewis Hamilton’s relentless service to Mercedes, he has also emphasized doing a solid job in Abu Dhabi. In the last few races, the latter, especially, has not been at ease within the cockpit of the W15 for varied reasons.

For now, though, our full focus is on the race weekend. There is no better way to mark the end of our time together than with a strong performance on the track. The entire team is focused on adding one more highlight to the reel. We also want to end the season on the front foot.

During the 2024 F1 season, Hamilton has so far managed to amass two race wins (as mentioned earlier), alongside five podiums and 211 points. The 39-year-old is currently in seventh place in the drivers’ standings behind his teammate George Russell.

In Abu Dhabi, all the eyes will be glued on Hamilton’s exploits for the final time in a Mercedes challenger. He is an out-and-out legend of the sport, and surreal scenes are expected when Hamilton crosses the finish line for one final time with the Brackley-based team.
