In response to this criticism, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff strongly defends the Briton, asserting his confidence in Lewis Hamilton‘s ability to thrive in the new team. He began his career with McLaren in 2007, winning his first title with the British team.
Hamilton then moved to Mercedes, where he enjoyed tremendous success, capturing six world championships. Both McLaren and Mercedes are British teams. Now, as he prepares to join Ferrari, an Italian team, some people doubt his ability to adapt to a different environment.
