Lewis Hamilton‘s move to Ferrari has been widely regarded as one of the biggest sporting news stories in Formula 1. The seven-time world champion is expected to help the Italian constructor return to their glory days. Hence, most personals in the paddock as well as the motorsports community are excited by the switch, even the MotoGP Legend Valentino Rossi.

Lewis Hamilton‘s acquaintance with Valentino Rossi in the past apart from his appearances in MotoGP has enabled him to gain a fan following from there as well. The Briton was rumored to be in talks for purchasing an existing debt-ridden team in the two-wheeler category which further boosted his popularity. Amidst the preparations for the 2025 season, Rossi has shared his opinions on the move.

Rossi sided with Hamilton over his switch in teams and labeled it a ‘beautiful’ thing. The 45-year-old claimed that he too was excited to witness the Briton race in Red. The Italian was also excited to witness how the 40-year-old would manage his stint with the Italian constructor. Apart from this, the MotoGP legend also showcased his interest in Charles Leclerc‘s chances with the former.

Surely it is a beautiful thing. Seeing him in the red suit excites me too, and I can’t wait to see how he will manage. It will be interesting to see how Charles Leclerc will manage.

Valentino Rossi and Lewis Hamilton met up with each other back in 2019 when the two swapped their respective machineries. Rossi recalled the event and how it was nice to have dinner with the 40-year-old. Moreover, the 45-year-old recounted a funny anecdote where Hamilton scolded the former playfully but in a stern manner for being late to the event.

That test with Hamilton? Nice. Dinner and confidences. The next day, I arrived late. I was changing, he got into the motorhome and it was Hamilton dressed as Hamilton. He was pointing to the clock: the usual Italians, cappuccino, brioche… He scolded me. He smiled. Not quite though.

Hamilton’s move to Ferrari continues to gain massive traction from around the world as multiple individuals have noted their excitement.
