Lewis Hamilton rocked the F1 world when the news of him joining Ferrari broke out in February this year. The British driver exercised his break clause in his new contract with Mercedes. As the seven-time world champion decided to switch to the sport’s most successful team. Now, Valtteri Bottas has expressed his opinion for Hamilton’s future teammate, Charles Leclerc.

Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton were teammates at Mercedes for 5 seasons from 2017-21. This period coincided with years of the team’s domination. Bottas described the seven time world champion as a good team player who is fast, rarely does any mistakes and gives great contribution to the team.

When asked about what advice would he give Charles Leclerc, soon to be his teammate, on the 39 year old’s work dynamics, he mentioned that the Monegasque is in no need to receive any advice as he’s got experiences of his own.

He will also learn Lewis is extremely fast and consistent, rarely does mistakes. I don’t need to give any advice to Charles; he’s a man and got some experiences already. I think they’ll be good teammates but Lewis will give him a good ride, no doubt.

The Finn witnessed Hamilton win 4 consecutive championships and set new benchmarks for most poles and wins in their years together as teammates, naturally making Bottas a good judge of the values and work ethics that the Briton brings with himself to any team he joins.

Although this time, the fans had another reason to cheer just a little bit louder. Following the recent announcement of Lewis Hamilton signing with Ferrari for 2025 season, the Briton also found himself on the receiving end of the love and support showered by the Tifosi.

Hamilton had earlier expressed his happiness stating it was surreal to see Italian fans knowing where he was going next year and described the Tifosi as ‘amazing’. Lewis Hamilton still has over 6 months to go as a Mercedes driver before joining Maranello. The seven time world champion has always vocalized his love for the country and fans and will surely continue to do so.
