The Miami GP was an action-packed weekend for fans. Lando Norris was able to clinch a surprise win in the sprint courtesy of a late Safety Car. However, things were more challenging for the Briton on Sunday. The 25-year-old was stuck in an aggressive on-track duel with arch-rival Max Verstappen. Things escalated to such an extent that Norris did not hesitate from showing the middle finger to the Red Bull star.

Lando Norris started the Miami GP from fourth place, quite far behind pole-sitter Verstappen. However, the reigning world champion lost the lead to Oscar Piastri shortly afterwards. While Norris moved up to third place. This set the stage for another wheel-to-wheel battle between the two drivers.

Max Verstappen, infamous for his aggressive approach to racing, did not hold back against Lando Norris. The two were on edge at more than one occasion, with things being just inches away from disaster. During this fight, Norris’ cockpit cam caught him flipping off the Dutch driver as he made his way past the McLaren. A moment of frustration and anger from the Briton who expressed it during a rush of adrenaline. F1 drivers are human and such outbursts should not come as a surprise to fans.

Ultimately, it was Lando Norris who had the last laugh. The Briton managed to make his way past the Red Bull and take second place. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen dropped down to fourth place after an unlucky Virtual Safety Car.

Lando Norris gives ‘crash or don’t pass’ verdict on Max Verstappen

The two drivers have been head-to-head on numerous occasions, particularly during the championship battle last year. In 2024, Lando Norris faced criticism for the way he handled fights with Verstappen. As the Red Bull driver would often come out on top without being too affected. On the other hand, Norris would be kicking himself for making mistakes.

However, it seems that Norris has learnt from the past. Post-race, the British driver made it clear that people would go on to criticize him no matter what he did against Verstappen. Additionally, Lando Norris proclaimed that he could either collide with the reigning world champion or find himself stuck behind the Red Bull.

What can I say? if I don’t go for it, people complain. if I go for it, people complain. so you can’t win. But it’s the way it is with Max. you know, it’s crash or don’t pass.

Lando Norris said post-race

Lando Norris seems to have had enough of Max Verstappen’s aggressive moves. The British driver publicly slammed Verstappen despite the two having a cordial relationship off-track. Though, Norris would now need to regain his composure and focus on bouncing back against his teammate and championship leader, Oscar Piastri.
