Lando Norris asserts he hates everyone once he puts on his helmet to race
Lando Norris and Max Verstappen are gearing up for the final leg of the 2024 Formula One season. With McLaren having already secured the lead in the Constructors’ Championship, the focus now shifts to the Drivers’ Championship, and Norris is ready to fight hard.
Norris acknowledged that despite being friends with Verstappen off the track, he feels intense rivalry with everyone once racing. This season marks the Briton’s first real shot at the F1 title, making it crucial for him to concentrate fully on racing. With a 53-point gap between them, the 24-year-old knows he must close the distance in the next six races to claim his first-ever Formula 1 title.
Red Bull has lost its lead in the Constructors’ Championship to McLaren and now fears that Verstappen might lose the lead in the Drivers’ Championship as well. The team has ample time during this one-month break before the next race in Austin to address the issues.
Verstappen’s surprising second-place finish in Singapore wasn’t enough to prove that its car remains competitive. Norris finished an impressive 20 seconds ahead, clearly establishing McLaren as the fastest car on the grid.
