Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari are going through tough times in 2025. The historic pairing has failed to even come close to matching expectations so far. Though, the Monaco GP seemed to be a ray of hope after Qualifying, things once again went downhill. So much so, that Hamilton was seemingly ignored by the Ferrari pitwall after the Sunday race.

The seven-time world champion started the race from seventh place due to a grid penalty. Lewis Hamilton had pulled off an impressive lap on Saturday and even outperformed arch-rival Max Verstappen. Though, the two had an incident during the session. However, the Briton faced a few issues in the race, even falling to defeat Verstappen. Hamilton was in ‘no man’s land’ with a massive gap to the leaders upfront and came home to finish in fifth place.

Following the race, as Hamilton drove back to the pits, he asked his team if they were not happy with his performance. Ferrari seemingly gave no answer to the Briton, with complete radio silence being observed on team radio. Though, it is unclear whether Hamilton’s message was heard by the pitwall or if the Briton’s race engineer failed to receive his message. As such, one should not directly assume that the F1 star was actually ignored.

Are you upset with me or something?

Lewis Hamilton gives ‘no comment’ verdict on Monaco GP

The seven-time world champion had high ambitions heading into the Monaco GP weekend after an impressive drive at Imola. Unfortunately, Hamilton’s frustration was quite visible during the race as he had a few other conversations on the team radio. Nevertheless, the Briton did bring home some vital points for his team, while his teammate, Charles Leclerc finished in second place.

Lewis Hamilton was in no mood to talk about the race to the media. The 40-year-old pointed out that he was stuck in no man’s land for its entirety. The Briton recalled the way his race shaped up, courtesy of the newly mandated two pitstop rule for the Monte Carlo race.

I can’t comment on the race, I was in no-mans land. I started P7 with the penalty, and then passed two cars [with pitstops] and then in no-mans land from there.

Lewis Hamilton said post-race

The F1 star has a lot to discuss with his team following the race. Perhaps, the radio silence incident might be clarified within Ferrari. Although, fans should not expect a public response. Moreover, Lewis Hamilton will be looking at the data to understand why he was stuck in a race of his own this time around. The Tifosi would be hoping that the seven-time world champion comes back stronger at the next race in Spain.
