When Lewis Hamilton was on stage after the race, he highlighted his enduring partnership with Peter ‘Bono’ Bonnington. Hamilton mentioned he and Bono had been a driver-engineer duo and partners in crime since 2013 which is the longest ever. He stated that they’ve both faced success and challenges on their racing journey together. The Briton explained Bono’s struggles in his personal life beyond F1, adding depth to their bond and shared experience. Their partnership highlighted the crucial role of trust and teamwork in in the competitive world of motorsport.

Peter Bennington [Bono] has been my partner in crime since 2013, marking the longest driver and engineer partnership. We have experienced ups and downs throughout this journey, and he has endured much in his personal life.

Further, Hamilton expressed, Despite facing numerous challenges, he and Bono have remained ultimate partners. Lewis Hamilton mentioned, Whenever Bonnington was on the radio with him during races, he felt secured and supported. Their strong friendship and teamwork not only help them race better but also make their bond even tighter. Working together every day builds trust and makes them a more effective team on the track.

However, Lewis Hamilton’s win at the British GP is an honest and genuine one with their own skill and strategy. Wolff reminded everyone to not get carried away by the lucky wins as true success comes from hard work and dedication. This indicated that their cars were competitive and capable of maintaining positions at the front, regardless of challenges such as weather or track conditions.
