Mercedes’ ground-effect era struggles have continued through the 2024 season as well. Brackley has failed to showcase any impressive results in this season yet. Hence, the team is constantly trying to maximize results over the weekend. Lewis Hamilton has remained vocal regarding his dissatisfaction with the disappointing challenger. Recently, the Briton visited a popular show ‘Hot Ones’ where he once again highlighted his dissatisfaction.

Lewis Hamilton recently visited the infamous American talk show where celebrities eat hot wings while answering questions. The Briton was asked multiple questions pertaining to his recent degrading form in F1. The talk show host Sean Evens raised a particular question that when was Hamilton most ‘at conflict’ with the machinery.

So you once said that during a race, you'll become one with the car, which made me curious. When are you most in conflict with the machine that you're driving?

Subsequently, Hamilton had a hilarious but saddening answer ready in response. The 39-year-old pointed out that he was most ‘in conflict’ with the machinery ‘right now’. The Briton highlighted W15’s disappointing pace and how it was causing him trouble maintaining good results. Hence, Mercedes needs to immediately work on the chassis to help score better results for the seven-time world champion.

Lewis Hamilton claims that fans at traffic lights ‘want to race’

Lewis Hamilton is extremely popular and famous worldwide not only due to his F1 performances. However, a majority of the fanbase knows that the seven-time world champion drives one-seaters at extremely high speeds. As a result, Hamilton recalled that oftentimes the fans asked him to race while he was waiting at a Red light.

Most people are just like, 'Holy s**t!' I've had people be at a traffic light and want to race.

The 39-year-old accepted that while he was young, he used to indulge in such activities. The seven-time world champion used to believe that he could ‘smoke’ the fans in a race. Hence, the Briton likely would’ve participated in multiple races with fans on street roads. However, with time Hamilton gained knowledge and patience and likely didn’t indulge in such stunts.

Definitely when I was young I was like, 'Alright, I'm gonna smoke this fool.'
Lewis Hamilton added.

Regardless, the top priority for Hamilton will remain in his performances at Mercedes. Ferrari has been performing extremely well in the 2024 season with two race wins already. Hence, the 39-year-old seems very eager to join the Italian constructor in the coming season.
