The Formula 1 grid was invited to a private screening of the Lewis Hamilton-produced F1 film on Wednesday in Monaco. The movie’s official release is set for 27 June, as the drivers and team principals give a highly positive verdict on it. Hamilton has worked tirelessly during the production of the film and made it as true to the real sport as possible.
Lewis Hamilton, alongside producers such as Jerry Bruckheim and others, set out on the venture to create an F1 film with a reported budget of over $300 million. The film is set to be based on the fictional APXGP team as the experienced racer in Brad Pitt, partners with the rookie played by Damson Idris in the film. Now, the movie is supposed to make its grand entry into theatres as the most knowledgeable audience of the sport, that is, the 18 drivers, excluding Max Verstappen and Lance Stroll, put forth some great reviews.
While Lewis Hamilton is a man of various interests, ranging from music to fashion and everything in between, he is producing a film for the first time. However, as depicted by the various trailers released, it seems that the movie may be a grand success, as Hamilton receives great praise. Now, the 40-year-old reveals that he has already figured out multiple concepts that he has come up with for his future movies.
I’ve never done it before, but I’ve got these concepts, these ideas that I’ve come up with for the movies.
Lewis Hamilton said, as reported by motorsportweek
Hamilton further explained that out of all the future movies that he has planned, at least two of them will be animated. In addition to this, one such film was already in the phase of its first script, which meant that it wouldn’t be much longer until the Briton releases his second film. Subsequently, the seven-time world champion reckoned that while he would delve into some documentaries, his main focus lay in producing real-life movies.
At least two of them will be animations, and one of them is already in the phase of the first part of the script already, so it’s exciting. Then there’ll be movie documentaries, there’ll be… mostly movies.

Lewis Hamilton accepts being ‘nervous’ during private screening with drivers
Lewis Hamilton pointed out that he himself was watching the entire movie for the first time. As such, watching it with a majority of the paddock made the event all the more special. While directors like Hamilton, Brad Pitt, and Kosinski are surely to create a banger of a movie, the 40-year-old still accepted that he felt a lot of nerves when watching the film.

Hamilton asserted that he was sitting in the middle of the rest of the drivers as he felt extremely nervous at the moment. However, racing at the pinnacle of the motorsport meant that the Briton wasn’t facing anything he wasn’t used to. Still, the 40-year-old reckoned that he cared a lot about what his colleagues thought of the film, as they all provided a great positive response to the movie.
I’ve got all the drivers there and I was sat in the middle and I was nervous. I was seeing it for the first time and it was great to look around and see some of the reactions from particularly the drivers. I really care what the drivers think and I wanted them to think highly of it.
