Max Verstappen remained at the center of the spotlight at the Miami GP after giving birth to his daughter Lily. All the drivers and team principals were extremely delighted to hear the news. Moreover, Verstappen’s teammate Yuki Tsunoda did not hold back from making daddy jokes all over the weekend. Hence, during the driver’s parade ahead of the main race, Tsunoda made a very peculiar but hilarious request to the 27-year-old.
The American races are always a great spectacle for the fans and drivers alike. The Miami GP is a remarkable event as it is not only the first of the three American races, but major celebrities attend the race as well. Formula 1 showcased their recent deal with Lego by allowing the drivers to race around in Lego cars around the Miami circuit. In this, Yuki Tsunoda took the passenger seat of the toy car while Max Verstappen rode it during the driver’s parade. Tsunoda, who has previously hilariously called Verstappen ‘big daddy,’ came up with yet another witty remark.
Yuki Tsunoda couldn’t resist making yet another baby joke as Verstappen prepared to drive the Lego car. The shortest driver on the grid funnily asked the Dutchman to treat him like a baby. The 24-year-old noted that the four-time champion was now a father and capable of treating the former like a kid. The reigning world champion handled Tsunoda with utmost care around the track, as he is accustomed to being around kids.
Now you have a baby. Treat me like a baby. I’m Lily ok?
Yuki Tsunoda told Max Verstappen in the drivers’ parade
Max Verstappen didn’t hesitate to play along with Tsunoda’s joke and provide him a great response. The 27-year-old insisted that he would drive the Lego car around the track like he had his own baby in the back. Verstappen also gave off a smug smile as he knew what was coming next as he drove the toy car erratically with his comical baby in the back. Still, it is heartwarming to see such a great bond between two teammates, with them still acting like kids no matter their age. The grid is likely to witness many more daddy and baby jokes between the two Red Bull drivers in the coming races.

Max Verstappen blames overheating tires for Miami GP defeat
McLaren remained the dominating force and the team to beat in terms of pace at the Miami GP. The two Papaya drivers finished the race with over 35 seconds of gap to the trailing driver in P3. Max Verstappen gave it his all during the first half of the race to defend against Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. However, the Dutchman had to succumb to a P4 finish after losing to the McLarens in terms of pace and being unlucky with the virtual safety car timing.

Verstappen candidly acknowledged that it was evident at the Miami GP that Red Bull stood no chance against McLaren on the track. The four-time world champion highlighted that overheating tires have become a major issue for Milton Keynes, affecting its chances at the front of the grid. Regardless of Woking’s superior pace, the Dutchman will continue to race and defend hard while racing out on the track with his usual elbows-out driving style. The 27-year-old will now hope to bring the battle to the upcoming race in Imola. As things currently are, the four-time champion is desperately behind the two leading McLarens in the drivers’ standings.
I think in general we are not on the same level as the McLarens and our tyres overheat way too much.
Max Verstappen told Servus
Red Bull still has to find massive grounds for improvement in order to contend for the race wins. Max Verstappen is giving it his all and not faltering in performance despite being a father now. As such, the team must put forth notable advancements to retain Verstappen’s interest in the team. Tsunoda is also trying his best to keep the team morale up by scoring a few points over the race sessions. Now, time will tell about how the Austrian constructor bridges the massive gap between them and the rivals.
