McLaren and Red Bull have been fighting tooth and nail throughout the 2024 season. This high-stakes battle soon got to their team chiefs as it severed their relationship amid the title battle. However, the tussle between Zak Brown and Christian Horner ended after the race at Marina Bay. The two team supremos posted a selfie of them traveling together and asserting that the peace had been restored.

Zak Brown and Christian Horner have been long-time friends in F1. Though friendships in a championship as big as F1 have to go through a lot, the relationship between the Brit and the American remained humble for many years. However, this soon changed this year when Brown started raising questions against the Austrian giant’s ownership of two F1 teams.

Moreover, after the race in Austria, the 52-year-old adopted a harsh stance on the matter involving both team’s drivers which further disconnected the pair. On the other hand, to mend the relationship, the duo traveled together on a plane after the race in Singapore.

Peace in F1 has been restored on flight home (where’s Netflix when you need them!) - but the battle will continue on track. What an awesome sport!

The McLaren Racing CEO posted a selfie of the two team representatives in the same outfit. Subsequently, Brown asked where was Netflix when the paddock needed it, as Drive to Survive is known for stirring up drama, while he and Horner rebuild broken bridges in the friendship.

Zak Brown not happy with Daniel Ricciardo stealing the fastest lap away from Lando Norris

While Brown claimed that peace had been restored, his allegations against Red Bull did not stop. Daniel Ricciardo pitted in the dying stages of the race in Singapore to take the fastest lap away from Lando Norris. The 35-year-old was successful in achieving this feat which could cost Norris the driver’s championship toward the business end of the season.

Though many reckoned Ricciardo’s fastest lap as a farewell gift, the American was not happy with such antics.

That’s a nice A/B team sporting thing that I didn’t think was allowed. But hey, that’s not the first time we’ve seen it, probably won’t be the last. I’ll certainly ask some questions. It’s something I’ve spoken about in the past and I think it illustrates that it does happen, because I think you wouldn’t have made that pit stop to go for that. It’s not going to get anyone a point, so I think it does illustrate the issue around that topic.

Brown hurled allegations at RB for aiding Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. While the Austrian giant affirms that both teams work independently, the Aussie aiding Verstappen raised questions about their individuality, which the 52-year-old was eager to know about.

Apart from this, McLaren doubled their lead in the constructor’s standings. Thus, it looks even more likely that the driver’s title remains the only front where Red Bull could fight for longer as the constructor’s title appears as a lost cause.
