McLaren driver Lando Norris finally put an end to his winless drought since Miami by impeccably winning the Dutch Grand Prix. Following the victory, the team’s CEO, Zak Brown, has showered massive praise on Norris.
Lando Norris has been one of the most consistent drivers this season. The 24-year-old has amassed 225 points so far but has been unfortunate in racking up wins. However, Norris displayed exceptional will throughout the recently concluded Dutch GP weekend to win with a 22-second lead over Max Verstappen.
Zak Brown has deemed the MCL38’s upgrades the key factor behind the Brit’s win. Brown also said that the Woking-based team needs to remain persistent to fully challenge for the title this year.
It was a big gap but we knew we were fast all weekend so I'm not shocked, just pleasantly surprised by the size of the gap. I think the upgrades clearly worked, but we need to keep our feet on the ground and not assume that will be a repeat every weekend.Zak Brown said after the Dutch GP
