Zak Brown hits out at ‘ridiculous’ Max Verstappen after 20-second penalty at Mexican GP

Max Verstappen and Lando Norris had yet another controversial race this weekend. The reigning world champion pushed Norris off-track during the Mexican GP. Now, McLaren CEO Zak Brown has slammed Verstappen’s persistent aggressive driving.
The three-time world champion was handed two 10-second penalties which dropped him down to sixth place. Zak Brown joked that even these two penalties weren’t enough considering how Max Verstappen has been driving this year. The McLaren boss labeled the Dutch driver’s racing as ‘ridiculous.’
Brown was delighted to see the FIA take action on Max Verstappen’s aggressive move. The 52-year-old insisted that the two title contenders should have clean racing for the last four races of the season. Zak Brown even praised Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz for taking a stellar race victory.

Ferrari have overtaken Red Bull in the standings after the Mexican GP. Now, the Scuderia trails behind championship-leaders McLaren by 29 points. Zak Brown confessed that the title fight was tight between the two teams. However, the 52-year-old refused to dismiss Red Bull’s chances, insisting that all three teams were in the mix.
Certainly, fans are witnessing one of the most exciting seasons in recent F1 history. Max Verstappen and Lando Norris could potentially fight till the final race of the season for the world title. While McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari will be battling each other for the Constructors’ Championship.
