The last half-hour of tonight’s Raw episode was specially reserved for the women’s division. Ahead of the main event battle royal for the Women’s World Championship, WWE showcased possible contenders. Out of the Raw locker room, Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, and Nia Jax were the realistic candidates to win. After a captivating final stretch between the three women, The Man emerged victorious and became the new champion.

As mentioned, the battle royal received a lot of time on Raw. Therefore, the women took their time and showed what they’re capable of. During the match, Nia Jax and Becky Lynch reignited their rivalry. Moreover, The Irresistible Force put Big Time Becks through the announce table two times. And, when it seemed that this would rule Lynch out of the match, she delivered a fascinating comeback by the end.

Obviously, the three remaining wrestlers were Lynch, Jax, and Morgan. After a back-and-forth between the women, Lynch and Morgan teamed up to eliminate Jax. Further, the final two women took their mini-match to the ring apron. In the end, The Man delivered a Manhandle Slam on Daddio to eliminate her and secure her seventh Women’s Title.

Following her loss to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania XL, rumors spread that the Irish-born wrestler was taking a break from WWE. However, she squashed the reports on social media and returned during the UK Tour last week. Later, she was announced for the battle royal on Raw. And most fans knew straightaway that Lynch would be the clear favorite. However, the reaction to her becoming the Women’s Champion was met with polarizing opinions.

Needless to say, some of the members of the WWE Universe didn’t appreciate Triple H‘s decision to crown Becky Lynch. Having said that, fans believed that the right choice was the woman who put Rhea Ripley out of action, Liv Morgan. In addition to that, other fans wanted a fresh face to hold the top prize in the women’s division.

As such, they targeted WWE for not moving on from The Man. Meanwhile, one fan claimed that this would hamper the plans of Morgan’s “revenge tour.” Another user called out the hypocrisy, stating that Drew McIntyre won a World Championship for injuring CM Punk. 

Despite the outrage of some fans, the other half opined that it was the right call. In fact, many believe that Morgan should be winning the title from Ripley instead of claiming it in a battle royal. All in all, fans are eagerly anticipating what lies ahead in Becky Lynch’s title reign.
