It’s been a month since Finn Balor brought his ‘Catch Your Breath’ entrance theme back after having not used it at all since joining the Judgment Day. The fans were under the impression that WWE let Balor use his old music just because he was fighting CM Punk for the World Heavyweight title on his home turf. That’s not the case.

‘The Prince’ has himself confirmed that going old school with his battle hymn wasn’t a one-off thing. Balor got a tad creative to emphasize that his iconic WWE entrance music is back for good. As one could see below, the inaugural Universal Champion posted that viral Bad Bunny meme from this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony.

The Puerto Rican rapper won the Grammy for Album of the Year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS and immediately got emotional as his initial reaction. Bunny’s reaction was used in an entirely different context by Balor, but the emotions remained the same. The return of the original Finn Balor entrance music is firmly believed to be a major step in the direction of a full-fledged face turn for him.

While he’s still aligned with the Judgment Day, ‘Prince Devitt’ hasn’t been getting along well with his stablemates for a long time now. In the promo segment he had with CM Punk on Raw this Monday, the ‘Best in the World’ reminded ‘The Irish Captor’ that he experienced his wrestling heyday without Judgment Day by his side.

Punk has been constantly rallying for Balor to ditch the faction if he wants to restore some of his old glory in 2026. Next weekend in Chicago, Balor will challenge Punk for the world title. The Irishman said last week that he would finish what he started with the ‘Second City Saint’ in Belfast.

Balor has already stressed that he’s done being treated like an afterthought and how everyone is already considering CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns as a foregone conclusion at WrestleMania 42. ‘The Prince’ slammed the claims of jeopardizing the WrestleMania main event and affirmed that he’s going to make it better by being in it.

Finn Balor asked JD McDonagh to let him chase the world title alone in heated backstage interaction on Raw

In the aforementioned segment that Finn Balor had with CM Punk on this week’s Raw, the ‘Second City Saint’ clowned both of Balor’s buddies one by one. Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh were willing to shut the champ down then and there only. But every time they tried making any advances toward Punk, Balor held them back.

‘The Best in the World’ even turned his back on the Judgment Day members and asked them to jump him from behind just like they must’ve planned to do. Mysterio and McDonagh would’ve definitely ambushed Punk had Balor not resisted them. The former AEW star closed out the segment by throwing the microphone at Balor in a disrespectful way.

Later backstage, JD McDonagh told Finn Balor that Punk has gotten in his head. Mysterio was completely ignored by the Irish compatriots as the two were arguing. ‘The Irish Ace’ stressed that it pained him seeing Balor get embarrassed by Punk a few weeks ago in Belfast. The erstwhile Jordan Devlin said he’s been longing to help his mentor become a world champion.

In response, a frustrated Balor told his fellow countryman to let him do this alone if he really wanted to help. McDonagh, in disgust, yelled, “Fine,” if that’s how ‘The Prince’ wanted to go about it. Mysterio, at last, was heard saying that he still had a match later on Raw.

‘Dirty Dom’ was simply looking to secure the backup of his go-to mates, in essence. But since he couldn’t talk them into it, ‘The King of the Luchadores’ walked into the battlefield alone against Gunther and Je’Von Evans. It was an Elimination Chamber qualifying match that Evans won by pinning Mysterio.
