Five NASCAR Cup series teams endures crew members ejection before Pennzoil 400 in Las Vegas after multiple inspection failures

NASCAR has announced that Five teams have failed the pre-qualifying inspection on Saturday for Pennzoil 400 which will see them missing out on their Crew Members for the final race a hiccup of most of the teams in the grid will find costly.  

Todd Gilliland who had 3 of his crew members, chief Seth Barbour as well as crew members Jourdan Osinskie and Tanner Andrews, of No. 38 Front Row Motorsports team failed the inspection gains which saw him lose his 4th crew member, Tony Manzer, in a week to suspension.

The teams of Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick were also among the teams to incur a suspension.  Kevin Harvick will hit the track on Sunday without a car chief as Kevin Harvick incur ejection and Chase Elliott will also lose his car chief  Matt Barndt for Sunday.

Harrison Burton and Josh Bilicki are the other two drivers who will be missing out on their crew as  Burton’s No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford car chief Cody Sauls and Bilicki’s No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet engineer Nicholas Sowa will also endure ejection.

Martin Truex Jr is “confident” going into Pennzoil 400 seeking 3rd career NASCAR victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Martin Truex Jr in a statement for Joe Gibbs Racing, where he drives the No. 19 Toyota Camry, said though there isn’t that much he can take from last weekend In Fontana to apply in Las Vegas he believes his run until the crashing to the wall gives him confidence and excitement to succeed in Vegas.

“There’s usually not a ton that you can take from Fontana to Vegas because of the difference in the track surface and the banking,” Martin Truex Jr said.

“Overall, we were pretty happy with our car to start the race last week, and we were moving up through there until I got into the wall. After that, it wasn’t very good, but I was excited about the way we started and the moves I was able to make, so that gives me confidence going into this weekend,” Martin Truex Jr added.
