“F**k this guy! Destroying legacy, wasting fans’ money-” Jake Paul rains an all-time rant on Floyd Mayweather
Floyd Mayweather- Jake Paul
Jake Paul is one of the most talked about names in the boxing industry today, even though the community still shows resilience in accepting him. Just when Paul entered and started making waves in the world of professional boxing, Floyd Mayweather Jr decided to transcend his skills by retiring from professional boxing and starting doing exhibition rounds, in all objectivity, against people that most of the combat sports community either doesn’t know about or is not interested in watching Mayweather fight against.
In the latest episode of Paul’s podcast titled BS, Paul talks about how Mayweather’s aura is getting shallow day by day by fighting the so-called ‘no-namers’ in the boxing industry and how the latter hasn’t paid his brother Logan Paul for their fight.
“F**k this guy, Floyd,” says Paul. “He still hasn’t paid Logan, he’s calling me out, saying once I fight a real fighter I am going to get destroyed, saying that he will fight me but I have to cut 40 lbs to down his weight. He didn’t even know the name of the guy he is fighting. He can’t even read…
He is wasting his fans f**king money bro, he’s wasting everyone’s time, he’s ruining his legacy like this is a guy, who arguably had one of the greatest legacies in the sport of boxing you know, up there with Ali, up there with Tyson and he’s ruining it by doing these little exhibition fights…” said Mayweather.
Daniel Cormier agrees with Jake Paul’s sentiments on Floyd Mayweather
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier followed up with what Paul had to say by talking about Mayweather’s route in exhibition boxing on his own Youtube channel and sort of agreed with Paul on some parts.
“I actually agree with Jake Paul,” says Cormier. “I know this is a week passed the date, but it’s time for the champ Floyd Mayweather to stop fighting like he’s the man now he’s fighting these Youtube guys and really saying what it is, ‘I will fight guys that don’t present a challenge.’ You’re the greatest boxer of all time, we love you…” continued Cormier. Cormier also confesses to the fact that he is not aware of who is Mayweather fighting in his next exhibition fight.

What do you make of Mayweather’s venture into the world of exhibition boxing? Are you having fun watching Mayweather fight people of little or no association with being amongst the huge names in boxing to their credit? Where do you put Mayweather amongst the greatest boxers of all time?
