A month ago, Donald Trump began his second term as President of the United States. While many people were unhappy with the shift in governing parties, others looked forward to the future with optimism. Among his supporters is boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, who recently praised Trump. However, Mayweather’s comments sparked criticism from an associate of Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Dagestani MMA representative, Khabib Nurmagomedov, shares a strong camaraderie with his manager, Ali Abdelaziz. Over the years, Abdelaziz has gained an impressive reputation in the combat sports community. However, he often attracts attention with his public criticisms of other notable athletes in the sport. Most recently, Abdelaziz made headlines by taking a dig at Floyd Mayweather.

This guy is so fake, he was a big Obama and Biden supporter, now he is talking about President Trump. You cannot play two side of the fence. This guy is fake and a fraud.

Interestingly, Ali Abdelaziz is a strong supporter of the newly elected US President. In the lead-up to the elections, he attended rallies and held public gatherings, effectively endorsing Trump alongside other prominent figures in the combat sports community. However, Abdelaziz was taken aback by Mayweather’s recent praise for Trump.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Abdelaziz has taken a jab at ‘Money’ Mayweather. Over the years, there have been several instances where the MMA manager has expressed his displeasure with the boxing legend.

Most recently, Money Mayweather’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sparked harsh criticism from Abdelaziz. This ongoing tension raises the question of whether Mayweather and Khabib Nurmagomedov also share similar feelings toward each other.

Were Floyd Mayweather and Khabib Nurmagomedov in talks to fight against each other?

Floyd Mayweather and Khabib Nurmagomedov are two of the most notable fighters in the boxing and MMA worlds, respectively. They both share impressive career records: Mayweather retired undefeated with 50 wins, while Nurmagomedov also retired undefeated with 29 wins. Interestingly, during their prime, there were discussions about the possibility of a fight between the two of them.

In 2017, ‘Money’ Mayweather dominated Conor McGregor in what was his last professional boxing match. A year later, at UFC 229, Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor to resolve their heated rivalry. Following these two fights, the UFC community buzzed with speculation about a potential matchup between Mayweather and the Dagestani fighter.

Even though both Mayweather and Nurmagomedov agreed to clash against each other, the fight never materialized. One reason for this is that the Dagestani fighter requested an MMA fight in the contract stipulations, while the boxing legend was not ready to accept this for various reasons. Currently, both Mayweather and Nurmagomedov are focused on training their proteges.
