Switzerland vs Spain Predictions
Every tournament has one or more teams which emerge as one of the dark horses of that particular tournament, and Switzerland is the team which have emerged this year. After having failed to get beyond the Round of 16 stages in the last 3 major tournaments, this year they have done it in superb fashion defeating one of the favourites of EURO 2020– France in their Round of 16 tie. However, they will miss the services of their captain Granit Xhaka who picked up a yellow card in their win over France after putting in a man of the match performance.
Luis Enrique’s side have grown into the competition so far and have started playing some scintillating football over the past couple of matches. They have scored 10 goals in their victories over Slovakia and Croatia after having scored just once in the first 180 minutes of the competition. They earned a hard fought victory over Croatia after a tiring 120 minutes but will have to come back fresh against a determined Swiss side who have already taken out France from the tournament.
Who will win Switzerland vs Spain Match
Although Switzerland are coming off a morale boosting victory over France in the Round of 16, Spain have enough quality in their ranks to stop them and make their place in the semi-finals of the competition. Expect a closely fought match between two tactically well drilled side, and we expect the match to end in a draw after the regulation time. But having had an extra day’s rest would surely play into the hands of the Spanish and enable them to come out with a victory and secure their place as the first semi-finalists of EURO 2020.
