Gianni Infantino has cut ties with celebrity chef Nusret Gökçe, also known as Salt Bae, on Instagram following FIFA’s investigation into his presence on the field after the World Cup final. Gökçe was seen mingling with Argentina’s players and snapping pictures with the World Cup trophy.

Only former winners of the FIFA World Cup and heads of state are allowed to do so. However, he got a photo with Lionel Messi, even though the Argentina captain had snubbed him twice before.
FIFA broke its silence on the occurrence and announced journalist Tariq Panja on Thursday. The statement indicated that they will inspect how some individuals got into the stadium after the concluding ceremony at Lusail stadium on the 18th of December. They also said they would take the necessary internal action once the investigation had concluded.
