After Argentina’s 36-year-long World Cup wait ended, the streets of Argentina seem absolutely lit up as the fans go completely astray. They covered the streets with lights and crackers and were eagerly prepared to give their players a proper welcome back to their country from Qatar.

When the squad arrived at the Buenos Aires airport on Tuesday morning, massive crowds emerged in the streets and the fans cheered for their players. It was Lionel Messi, who first stepped off the plane with the World Cup trophy wrapped around his arms and then his teammates followed him and they were welcomed by a red carpet at the airport.

As the players boarded the team bus and as soon as the bus left the airport, they were followed by millions of fans dressed in the national colors of blue and white and videos of these celebrations have gone absolutely viral with the people waving their national flag and even firing the firecrackers.

The atmosphere in Buenos Aires is a different feeling completely at the moment right now as there are millions of supporters singing and dancing. The players are also celebrating it with their fans standing on the open top deck of their team bus and the players spent the entire night at the Argentine Football Association’s training ground.

Argentina are facing a huge economic clash for the last few months and this World Cup triumph has given the people of the country a reason to cling to and celebrate amidst this crisis. Tuesday has been declared a holiday by the Argentine government and the fans are expected to line up for the huge parade.

With fans traveling from different parts of the country to celebrate their team’s success at the Buenos Aires parade, photos have emerged that the supporters stayed near the training site for their team’s arrival, with some laying on blankets on the grass and some also staying in their cars parked outside the camp.
