Al-Hilal and Brazil star Neymar has fallen victim to injury yet again. The 31-year-old suffered a ‘serious’ injury in the dying moments of the first half. The former PSG star only recently had ankle surgery after suffering a serious injury last March. A video from the game vs Uruguay shows Neymar’s left knee in an awkward position. He was stretchered off the pitch.

Neymar was in tears following the injury. Moreover, a video showed the player on crutches as he left the stadium. The injury was deemed to be serious. Subsequently, Al-Hilal revealed more information about the player’s injury. “Clinical imaging tests,” revealed that, “Neymar has a rupture in the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee.”

Sadly, the player is set to miss at least 8 months on the sidelines following his injury. The Brazilian Football Federation announced that the player will undergo surgery.
