Argentina declares 26-men squad for 2022 FIFA World Cup; Garnacho and Mauro Icardi miss out

Argentina national football team has finally revealed their 26-member squad that will take the flight to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup and fans are bamboozled by the decisions that the manager Lionel Scaloni has taken. The media has been covering the young talent, Alejandro Garnacho in recent weeks after his red-hot form and everyone expected him to make the squad for the World Cup but the coach had other plans.
Another youngster Julian Alvarez has been included in the squad as their backup striker and Lautaro Martinez will be the one to start the matches as Argentina’s prime number 9. Angel Di Maria has been out this season for a long time due to injury and everyone was scared that the winger won’t recover in time but the coach has decided to give him a ticket to the World Cup which will also be his last one.
Last time out in 2018, Argentina had to suffer defensively but this time, the team is absolutely stacked with experienced defenders such as Romero, Lisandro Martinez, Gonzalo Montiel, and so on. Paulo Dybala must have recovered just in time for the big stage and Scaloni didn’t miss out on the amazing talent.
