Football Club Barcelona has reportedly asked the Anti-Violence Commission to investigate the insults made by Athletic Club fans at Sunday’s match. The incident took place after the league leaders Barcelona had a 1-0 victory against the host Athletic Club at San Mames Stadium.
During their previous match against Athletic Club, Barcelona players reportedly had to face many insulting statements from the home fans at the stadium. A few of the fans used statements like “F*ck Barça” and the visiting team wasn’t ok with it. Few other fans directly insulted Pablo Gavi after his brave tackle to Athletic club midfielder Dani Garcia. The fans reportedly chanted “Gavi mental r*tard“.
La Liga has been the centre of many headlines in recent times. Quite a few of these can be seen to be related to nasty insults and racism. Teams of La Liga aren’t reportedly quite happy with such incidents. Cases like that of Vinicius Jr facing racism or Gavi getting brutally insulted are quite unfortunate and many teams have been seeking La Liga’s intervention to stop the. Although that hasn’t gone well either. La Liga chief Javier Tebas has reportedly kept quiet until now. No steps have been taken by the League to prevent incidents of such sorts from happening again, as per reports.
It is to be seen what comes of the investigation that Barcelona has reportedly asked the Anti-Violence Commission. Will La Liga chief Tebas finally take any actions against those who are reportedly spreading such chaos? Will this brutal business of insults and racism meet its end this time after all?

Football Club Barcelona reportedly received a massive fitness boost before El Classico as star returns to training
Football Club Barcelona will be feeling good about themselves after beating Athletic Club in a hard-fought 1-0 win on Sunday night. And as it seems the good news continues to flow. Star midfielder Pedri González is reportedly back in training with the group after missing the last six games through injury.
The hamstring issue sustained against Manchester United in mid-February has hampered Barcelona greatly, causing a large dip in their play. Although they have managed to maintain their lead in La Liga, it contributed to their exit from the Europa League. It has also been noted that Barcelona’s La Liga win percentage drops by around 30% without Pedri.
On Monday he returned to training, with the hope being that he will be back for their crunch match against Real Madrid on Sunday. The result at Camp Nou could be decisive, as Real Madrid is nine points behind Barcelona. As was seen in the last El Clasico, without Pedri, Barcelona struggle to retain possession. This also means Ousmane Dembele is the only absence for that match if Pedri does return.
