Belgium national football team has finally revealed their 26-member squad that will take the flight to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup and Roberto Martínez has taken some tough calls. He has decided to leave out AC Milan’s Divock Origi from his squad and has agreed to go with Lens’ Loïs Openda as his backup striker.

Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard are two of the most talked about Belgium stars and both of them were doubtful for the World Cup considering their injuries. Still, Roberto Martínez has called them up which means that the duo has recovered just in time for the big stage. Charles De Ketelaere is one of the brightest stars in world football, and the manager made no mistake in giving him a ticket to Qatar.

Veteran duo Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen have also been called which looks to be their last involvement in the Belgium shirt and the manager has decided to put his trust in the long-serving duo for the team’s defensive duties. With Trossard in the squad, Martínez will have a lot of options and a lot of versatility with the formations on which he decides to play his team.
