It was the night of the Champions League 2020/21 and fans witnessed an epic encounter between Chelsea and Juventus. It was the former who defeated the latter by a big margin of 4-0 and is now at the top of their table. Interestingly, all 4 goals were scored by four different players.
When Chelsea visited Turin, Juventus defeated them 1-0 despite not having key players like Alvaro Morata in their squad. However, the Blued returned the favour to Juventus when they visited Stamford Bridge as they crushed them and managed to keep a clean sheet as well
For Chelsea, Terevor Chalobah opened the score line at the 25th minute. The man of the moment, Reece James, followed soon and doubled their scoreline ten minutes after the second half. Soon, it was Hudson-Odoi who made it 3-0 before Timo Werner adding the final touch at the fifth minute of the injury time.
Twitter reacts as Chelsea take their revenge on Juventus at Champions League 2021/22
Chelsea fans took quite a dig at Juventus fans who earlier proclaimed that their manager, Allegri, is much better than Thomas Tuckel. Some of them tweeted that it is now proved who the better manager is. In addition, they also hailed Reece James for his yet another amazing performance on the field.
Chelsea’s defence has always been its strength for the past one year. As a result, the twitteratis took a moment and appreciated both Thiago Silva and Edouard Mendy for keeping yet another clean sheet in the Champions League.
While some fans enjoyed the last goal of Werner and hope that he’ll be back in form soon, others trolled the fans of Manchester United as Chelsea will be playing them next in the Premier League.
Thus, it is now almost evident that Chelsea will top their Champions League group after defeating Juventus. Will they be able to defend their Champions League title this year?
