Company faces major loss after it buys 18,000 ‘England FIFA World Cup winners’ T-shirts

A British business is confronted with a significant loss after they bought 18,000 t-shirts boasting ‘England World Cup victors’. The Three Lions were knocked out in the quarter-finals after a 2-1 loss to France on Saturday. Goals from Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud were enough to send Gareth Southgate’s team back home, despite Harry Kane’s penalty leveler in the second half.

Mr. Baxter, the boss of Wholesale Clearance UK based in Dorset, had intended to sell t-shirts for £29.99 each but has had to lower the price. These t-shirts can now be purchased for a much lower rate at £9.99. If Karl Baxter from Dorset feels disheartened over England’s defeat, it is understandable.

Kane had the opportunity to restore the score to a draw five minutes from the end after Mason Mount was tripped up by Theo Hernandez. Unfortunately, the England skipper was not able to keep his composure and sent his penalty kick well above the Al Bayt Stadium.

If Gareth Southgate leaves his role as England’s coach, the country is open to considering hiring a coach of foreign origin

If Gareth Southgate decides to leave his position as England’s manager, the Football Association may look to other countries for a potential replacement. Southgate expressed doubt over his future after his team’s departure from the World Cup this past Saturday, having been knocked out in the quarter-finals by France.

After the defeat, Southgate declared that he was unsure concerning his future in the position and conceded that he had experienced hard times over the last 18 months due to a problematic Nations League tournament which resulted in England being demoted. The Football Association is enthusiastic to have Gareth Southgate remain in charge and steer England to the European Championship in 2024, yet they are readying themselves for the possibility that he may step down and are looking at possible replacements. The Telegraph has suggested that England may contemplate foreign coaches to fill Southgate’s role, with the FA hoping to choose a successor from the broadest selection of managerial options.

Rumors are circulating that Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel would be interested in the England men’s team coaching position should it become available. In 2022, the English women’s team achieved European Championship success under the guidance of Sarina Wiegman, a foreign coach. The men’s team may follow suit if Gareth Southgate opts to end his six-year tenure as head coach.
