Cristiano Ronaldo was furious following three penalty calls dismissed by the referee. His distaste at the referee’s decision was visible and ended up telling the referee to “f*ck off” before heading down the tunnel. He was also spotted pushing a person to the side on his way to the tunnel. Netizens have mixed reactions to the incident, with fans defending the player for his frustration against the ‘unjustly’ denied penalties while others called the player ‘entitled’ and ‘arrogant’ as is the narrative against the superstar.

Al-Nassr were trailing the majority of the game two goals to one until Sultan Al-Ghannam equalized for the hosts, following which Brozovic and Talisca scored to hand Al-Nassr a 4-2 win allowing them to progress to the group stage of the AFC Champions League.
