Yesterday, Cristiano Ronaldo was absent from Manchester United’s first pre-season day for the upcoming 2022-23 season. The 37 year apparently had to miss out due to family reasons that were explained and accepted by the club.

However, it is now being reported that the player might not be available for their pre-season tour in Australia and Thailand either. Cristiano Ronaldo has earlier admitted to the club that he wished to leave and the club should accept if a substantial offer should arrive.

According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo is being offered to clubs across Europe as he looks for an exit and Champions League football. Given the player’s wage demands, there are only a handful of clubs that can really afford him.

One of them is Chelsea. The blues’ new owner Todd Boehly is a huge admirer of the player and likes the idea to have the 37-year-old at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea needs a new striker after they let Romelu Lukaku leave on loan as well.

Thomas Tuchel is also an admirer of the player but is unsure if Cristiano can fit into his system at Chelsea. Another club that could sign Cristiano Ronaldo is Real Madrid.

The Los Blancos have been uploading videos of Cristiano Ronaldo during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu and could look to make him a short-term replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
