Cristiano Ronaldo has taken part in an Al Nassr Promotional video where the player dons a sword along with the traditional Saudi Arabian dress. He is joined by his fellow teammates as well, Sadio Mane appearing towards the end.
Ronaldo, who left Manchester United, signed a two-year, $200+ million deal with Al Nassr on December 31st. Other top players like Sadio Mane from Liverpool and Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan also joined Al Nassr. Ronaldo’s ex-teammate Karim Benzema made a similar move to Al-Ittihad after leaving Real Madrid. Furthermore, Neymar, who signed with Al Hilal, credited Ronaldo for inspiring European stars to move to the Middle East, saying, “I believe Cristiano Ronaldo started this trend, and the league is growing thanks to his influence.”
Cristiano Ronaldo’s time at Al Nassr has been too joyous and is evident with every game. The player has shone in the Middle East and is an irreplaceable part of the team. Scoring seven goals in seven appearances this season, Ronaldo has been thriving under the lights of Riyadh.
Meanwhile, his appearance in Al Nassr’s latest promotional video sees him donning a sword and a Saudi Arabian traditional dress. Three kids are seen basking in the glory of the Al Nassr’s heritage as the video ends with Ronaldo in the center while the people beat their drums and perform a dance. The video – posted on Twitter and YouTube – already has over a million views in less than 12 hours.
Al Nassr will play Al Ahli tonight after a triumphant start in the AFC Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane, Al Nassr’s talismans
Responsible for 72% of Al Nassr’s goals this season, Ronaldo and Mane have a combined 13 goals in six matches for the Riyadh-based club. The duo have been sensational. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored seven in his five appearances in the league while his new teammate, Sadio Mane, has six in six.

The two have also combined well together after Cristiano provided an incredible back-heel assist for Sadio against Al-Fateh. Further, they were also seen joking around together on the bench against Al Shabab. Sadio pushed Ronaldo outside of the sitting area after Ronaldo was trying to coach the Al Nassr players. This shows how these two have bonded on the pitch as well as off of it
Al Nassr will be hoping this run of form continues as the competition has been growing in talent. Last season the club missed out by five points coming second to an Al Ittihad side. This season their rivals have strengthened with the acquisition of N’Golo Kante, Fabinho, and Karim Benzema. Al-Ittihad currently sits on top of the league with 18 points. Al Nassr is close behind with 12 points and also has a game in hand.
