David de Gea has reportedly snubbed an offer from Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Saudi giants Al-Nassr. The Saudi Pro League club identified the former Manchester United #1 as their latest big-name signing. However, it is understood that the 33-year-old is against the idea of following suit in the Saudi exodus, and is ready to turn down a £500K per week contract. Even though the player has offers from clubs in Spain, there has been no decision regarding the Spaniard’s future.

David de Gea left Manchester United last summer, and his departure was clouded with controversy. Even though the club may bring De Gea back on a short-term deal, it is unclear whether the player is willing to do so. Andre Onana will be unavailable for team selection in January – February after Cameroon secured qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations.

It is understood that David de Gea’s wife, Edurne is against the idea of moving to Saudi. Subsequent interest from Valencia in La Liga may be hampered by financial barriers as well. So, linking up with Cristiano Ronaldo seems out of the question now.

The club owned by Manchester United legend David Beckham will look to offer the Golden Glove winner of last season a lucrative contract to join the MLS outfit.
